Blue Light Intelligence Analyst Certification Course
Blue Light’s Intelligence Analyst Course is a twenty five-day course (200 hours), designed for individuals transitioning from the military to the public sector as an analyst or for individuals looking for entry level employment as an analyst.
The topics follow the standards for Basic-Level Analytic Training Courses outlined by the Global Advisory Committee in the Analyst Professional Development Road Map V2. Students will start with a brief history of intelligence and how it has evolved, including the intelligence cycle, analytical thinking, and reporting processes. Participants will learn the importance of balancing the privacy of the population while managing the data to produce intelligence. They will also learn to avoid their own bias while developing inferences and recommendations in a critical thinking class.
Students will learn to exercise critical thinking and will be provided with a basic overview of social media platforms, the psychology of social media, social media tools and services and a practical application of the Discover, Develop, Monitor (D2M) methodology. The course is a foundation for learning advanced application of D2M, predictive analysis, scenario development, and indicators and warnings within the context of real-world business requirements.
Students will spend two weeks learning the critical skills to use i2 Analyst’s Notebook (ANB) to support the intelligence analysis process. The course focuses on understanding the program interface, methodology in constructing charts, principles of importing structured data, and basic analytical techniques to uncover relationships and associations. This course will also focus on advanced analytic techniques, importing, and understanding displayed data to pinpoint nodes of interest to answer questions. The curriculum is designed to focus on the ANB program functionality regardless of data type analyzed. During the last three days of week four students will learn to exercise critical thinking and all learned skills in multi-day practical exercises focused on real world challenges that are designed to test their intelligence analytical skills to include intelligence tools, methodologies and i2 Analyst’s Notebook.
The Professional Development & Soft Skills Course is designed to teach participants the valuable life skills of how to perform a modern, comprehensive and effective career search leading to meaningful employment within the private or public sector. Participants are guided through a proven six-step career search system creating a Strategic Career Search Marketing Plan by incorporating the Birkman Method Assessment and various tools/techniques provided in the Professional Career Transition Management System Toolkit.

Blue Light IBM i2 Analyst’s Notebook Basic & Advanced Course
This ten-day course (80 hours) is a combination of the Basic and the Advanced Blue Light IBM i2 Analyst’s Notebook courses, designed for those who are new to IBM i2 Analyst’s Notebook (ANB), providing the skill set required to use ANB as a visualization and basic analytical tool and advance their skills in advanced search and discovery functions.
This course is designed to also teach professional development and soft skills to enable an individual to obtain employment as an i2 Analyst, from the trainings they will receive from this course. The course focuses on understanding the program interface, methodology in constructing charts, principles of importing structured data, and basic analytical techniques to uncover relationships and associations.
This course will also focus on advanced analytic techniques, importing, and understanding displayed data to pinpoint nodes of interest to answer questions. The curriculum is designed to focus on the ANB program functionality regardless of data type analyzed.

Pre-requisites: There are no prerequisites for this course. Students should be in a position where this training is required to do their job or to apply for an analyst position requiring this subject matter expertise.

Blue Light Introduction to OSINT Analysis & Advanced OSINT Analysis
During this ten-day course (80 Hours), students will exercise critical thinking and will be provided with a basic overview of social media platforms, the psychology of social media, social media tools and services and a practical application of the Discover, Develop, Monitor (D2M) methodology.
The course is a foundation for learning advanced application of D2M, predictive analysis, scenario development, and indicators and warnings within the context of real-world business requirements.
This course will also include professional development and soft skills training. This will include resume writing, salary negotiation tactics, mock interviews, and an employer panel.
