
Senior Instructor
John Ciccone joined Blue Light in 2019 and has more than 30 years of experience in the training field. Since 1989, John has been instructing, tutoring, developing, and managing software, soft skills, and supplemental education programs for people from the ages of 6 to 66 and in locations ranging from Shenandoah farms to inner-city schools to rush-hour commuter rail cars.
For 19 years, John was an IBM i2 instructor working with analysts from every sector in the i2 suite of products. He started managing the Education Department in 2008 where he maintained a “player/coach” role which involved continuing to teach while overseeing the running of the department daily. He has helped in the organization, development, instruction, and management of programs to help military veterans acquire new analysis and software skills for their post-service careers.
Prior to beginning his training career, John spent four years as a litigated claims specialist in the insurance industry. As a result, he has extensive experience in the investigation of insurance fraud and special investigative techniques. John graduated with a B.A. from Rutgers University in 1986 and is a graduate fellow of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University, where he studied political and public policy analysis.
