Eric is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a former Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. While serving in the US Army, Eric’s leadership assignments included Platoon Leader responsible for providing tactical imagery support through national-level capabilities; Executive Officer and Platoon Leader responsible for company-level day-to-day administrative, electronic and vehicle maintenance, military police, and dining facility operations; and Company Commander responsible for providing guidance and support to leadership and advanced military intelligence course design, development, and implementation.

Operational assignments included Training and Force Modernization officer charged with managing training plans and coordination; Officer-in-Charge of a forward-deployed Intelligence Support Element producing and disseminating timely and accurate 24-hour analysis, indications, and warning; and Officer-in-Charge of a US Army prototype Digital Tactical Operations Center.

Following his military service, Eric was Team Lead and Curriculum Developer managing and providing intelligence and operational needs assessments, concepts, curriculum, and training to the Military and Federal, state, local, and tribal security and law enforcement agencies. Eric has served as both the Travis (Texas) County Security Training Coordinator and Security Manager. Additionally, Eric was a college adjunct faculty member instructing courses in homeland security.
